Contact InformationI studied Journalism and broadcasting in college and worked in radio for a short time, but it was not for me. I worked in sales and marketing for 45 years. The last 24 years I worked with Lakeland PBS as the Station Manager of KAWB-TV. In a small station your job description is ‘everything’ and I loved it. My job was PR and fundraising, but it could be anything that comes along. I could be shoveling snow, welcoming the Governor for an interview, speaking to the Rotary Club and on TV encouraging folks to, “Call in your pledge!” all in the same day.
My tagline is, “I’m here to help.” It’s true. Yeah, I’ll cash your check, but my main goal is to help folks live happier, healthier lives. It’s that simple. I’ve enjoyed photography since the days of Kodachrome and Tri-X. Combine photography with editing software and the love of words and you get videography. The cost of equipment has fallen dramatically in recent years quality video is now affordable for small businesses and nonprofits. My video business, Easy Street Productions has done well since I retired form Lakeland PBS. I am currently working on a documentary on the history of the Northern Pacific Railroad. I live in a century old house in the middle of Minnesota. My wife, Marcia and I are enjoying retirement and travel. Besides media production, speaking and travel, I love mountain biking. Many miles of mountain bike trails been built, and more are coming. Biking is creative time for me. I carry a voice recorder and frequently come home with a ton of thoughts and ideas - many of them will end up in my presentations. |
